Day Care Shooting: 2 Injured
Two people were injured in a shooting at a residential day care center in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon.
GRANADA HILLS, CA — Two women were injured in a shooting at a residential day care facility in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
The shooting was reported at around 12:30 p.m. on the 17300 block of West Firma Court, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Two adults were transported to a local hospital in stable condition by paramedics, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The nature of their injuries is unclear.

No children were reported injured.
The suspect fled the scene and was taken into custody by police near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Vanowen Street, about 7 miles south of the scene, ABC 7 reported.

LAPD Capt. Kathleen Burns told reporters at the scene the weapon believed to have been used in the shooting had been recovered. She said the shooting appeared to have been a targeted attack.
While the motive remained under investigation, Burns said, "We do believe it's either some type of family violence or domestic violence."
