Two people were injured, one critically and one in serious condition, after their car hit a tree on Zelzah Avenue in Northridge.
The victims in the crash were described as "two young adult males" by Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
The collision happened at 9040 Zelzah Avenue near the intersection of Sunburst Street and the men were trapped in a white sedan they were riding in, Humphrey said.
There was some damage to a home nearby.
