20 Acres Burn In San Fernando Valley Fire: LAFD

Twenty acres burned in a fire that broke out in the San Fernando Valley Sunday, according to the LAFD.

Firefighters battled a 20-acre grass fire over three hours that broke out near the 405 Freeway in Van Nuys Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

VAN NUYS, CA — Firefighters battled a 20-acre grass fire over three hours that broke out near the 405 Freeway in Van Nuys Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Twenty firefighters responded just after 4 a.m. to the Sepulveda Basin, near the 15700 block of West Burbank Boulevard. They contained the light grass fire by 7 a.m., firefighters said.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
