5 Valley Middle Schoolers Sickened By Cannabis Edibles, 3 Hospitalized

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Five middle schoolers were suddenly became ill at school Monday afternoon after possibly eating cannabis edibles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Paramedics responded to Nobel Charter Middle School in Northridge at around 2:20 p.m. to access the students, described as teenage female patients who were conscious and breathing.

Three of the girls were transported to a local hospital in "fair condition." Two were expected to be released to their parents or guardians, firefighters said.
