Bicyclist Dead After Being Struck By Several Cars In Northridge Hit-And-Run: PD

A bicyclist died Thursday night after he was struck in a hit-and-run crash in Northridge, police said.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — Police are searching for a driver who fatally struck a bicyclist in Northridge Thursday night.

The crash was reported at 9:20 p.m. near 8556 Lindley Ave., south of Parthenia Street. First responders arrived to find the severely injured bicyclist down on the street. The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene, KTLA reported.

Police learned the driver of the vehicle who hit the bicyclist was driving north on Lindley Avenue near Napa Street when he or she struck the bicyclist, knocking him off his bike and into the street before fleeing the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Four or five additional vehicle struck the man in the street, police said.

Police have not provided a description of the suspect or his or her vehicle.
