Bomb Threat Triggers Evacuation At Simi Valley High School
Students and staff were evacuated to the school's stadium while police and bomb-sniffing dogs combed through the campus.

SIMI VALLEY, CA — Students and staff at Simi Valley High School were evacuated, and the school was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat, according to officials with the Simi Valley Unified School District.
Police and K-9 units are searching the campus at 5400 Cochran Street. The threat was received just after 8:30 a.m. at the start of the school day.
"While there is no new information about the current lockdown, staff and students remain safe. Stadium evacuations are underway. We wish to confirm that this lockdown is the response to a bomb threat made to the school," the district announced on its Facebook page. "With a lockdown of this nature and at a school this size, lockdown clearances will take several hours to accomplish as the police will search every building and every corner of the campus to ensure that it is safe. Once again we want to remind you that students have been asked to stay off of their cell phones and we need parents not to come to the school."
