Cal State Northridge-Run Station 88.5 Hires New General Manager

Radio station 88.5 CSUN, which is co-run by Cal State Northridge & Saddleback College, has hired Patrick Osburn as its new general manager.

NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES -- Public, member-supported radio station 88.5 FM has chosen the station's director of business development, Patrick Osburn, as its new general manager.

Osburn, who first joined the station in 2017, has spent more than 30 years in the radio industry. His promotion was announced by the station June 24.

“After years in commercial media, I am really enjoying the quality dynamic of public media, and we have an amazing core staff to continue to grow our impact,” Osburn said. “We look forward to providing listeners, members and sponsors a truly multi-media experience.”

CSUN radio is a combined effort of California State University, Northridge and Saddleback College in Mission Viejo. It began simulcasting as 88.5 FM in October 2017, linking together the Los Angeles County- and Orange County-based signals.

The station offers a 24-hour, commercial-free blend of rock, alternative, soul, blues and Americana. It features a wide range of artists, such as U2, Bruce Springsteen, Jack White, Arcade Fire, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Alabama Shakes, Sheryl Crow, Bob Marley and David Bowie.

The station’s programming also is available on the KCSN and KSBR 88.5 HD1 channels, via the 88.5 app, and online at www.885FM.org.
