A 72-year-old driver is in serious but stable condition.

A 72-year-old man was in serious but stable condition Thursday evening after his car went over a 200-foot embankment on Rinaldi Street in Porter Ranch.
The vehicle landed wheels-down between Corbin Avenue and Tampa Avenue, according to Erik Scott, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. The driver, who had a head injury, was lifted out in a "litter-basket," Scott said.
