Locals around Chatsworth know of the community's own fun-filled Day of the Horse Celebration, but the city of Los Angeles has one as well.
LA City Councilman Mitch Englander joined a few of his colleagues on horseback Wednesday to honor the city's rich past and present with equines, the Daily News reports.
City officials also took the time to address a proposal to exempt pipe corrals--the fencing used to house horses, from permanent building permits.
