Suspect Arrested In Home-Invasion Shooting Death Of 'American Idol' Exec And Husband

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 22-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection to the shooting death of a music supervisor who worked on "American Idol" and her husband, who were found dead inside their upscale Encino home.

Their bodies were found at about 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 4700 block of White Oak Place, in the hills north of Ventura Boulevard, following a welfare check requested by neighbors who had not heard from the couple for several days, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The pair had been shot in the head. Both people were pronounced dead at the scene, KTLA reported.

Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ reported the victims were Robin Kaye, who worked on "Idol" for at least 15 seasons, and her husband Thomas Deluca.

On Tuesday afternoon, the LAPD confirmed the arrest of Raymond Boodarian of Encino, who is suspected of killing the pair last Thursday when the couple returned home and discovered the intruder inside. Police said they identified Boodarian through the use of surveillance video from the couple's home.

TMZ reported that the couple were found dead in separate rooms. And that police had previously responded to the property last week after neighbors spotted someone trying to break in.

Detectives from the LAPD's Valley Bureau Homicide Division were investigating the deaths. No motive or suspect had been publicly identified as of Tuesday morning.

An "American Idol" representative said in a statement, "We are devastated to hear of Robin and her dear husband, Tom's, passing. Robin has been a cornerstone of the `Idol' family since 2009 and was truly loved and respected by all who came in contact with her. Robin will remain in our hearts forever and we share our deepest sympathy with her family and friends during this difficult time."
