High-Speed Police Chase Leads To 3-Car Pileup In Northridge
The chase lasted just a minute, leading to the crash near Nordhoff Street and Balboa Boulevard.
NORTHRIDGE, CA — A brief police chase ended in a three-car pileup and an arrest in Northridge Tuesday.
The chase began near Gresham Street and Darby Avenue. Los Angeles police reportedly called off the chase of a suspected parole violator when the chase reached 100 mph around 7:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The suspect fled in a an Acura sedan, driving at speeds more than twice the legal speed limit, according to authorities.
The chase lasted just a minute, leading to the crash near Nordhoff Street and Balboa Boulevard, said LAPD Officer Drake Madison.

Three cars were involved in the crash, and two people were rushed to a hospital in unknown condition. The suspect made a run for it on foot but was captured and arrested, FOX11 reported.
Police did not release further details, and it wasn't immediately clear what charges the supect faced.
