Home Invasion Robbers Tie Up Elderly Victim In The San Fernando Valley

Los Angeles police are searching for three people who targeted an elderly couple, zip tying a man they found sleeping in his bed.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Police on Monday are searching for a trio of home-invasion robbers who targeted an elderly couple in Woodland Hills, surprising one of the victims as he slept in his bed and zip tying him.

"Officer responded to a radio call in the 23300 block of Irwin street for a burglary hot prowl," said Los Angeles Police Department Officer David Cuellar told Patch. "Two males had entered the victim's bedroom and zip tied him while he was in bed."

A third suspect held another victim in a separate part of the house as the robbers ransacked the place, taking a safe with them as they fled, said Cuellar. Investigators did not say publicly what was in the safe, he added.
