2,700 Lose Power in Northridge, Reseda, Studio City and Brentwood
Electricity was restored in all areas by 9:40 p.m.

Three power outages knocked out service to about 2,700 Department of Water and Power (DWP) customers in Northridge, Reseda, and Brentwood Tuesday.
The Brentwood outage, which was caused by Mylar balloons, affected about 1,000 customers, according to the DWP. It began at 2:30 p.m. and service was restored just before 9 p.m., according to a department official who declined to give her full name.

The Northridge/Reseda outage affected about 800 customers, she said. It began around 4:30 p.m. and service was restored just before 8 p.m., the official said.
The cause and location of affected customers was not immediately available, the official said.

The outage in Studio City affected about 900 customers, all of whom had their power restored by 9:40 p.m., the official said.
