2 Detained At Topanga Mall; No Evidence Of Shooting

Police said there is no evidence that shots were fired at the mall Sunday afternoon.

CANOGA PARK, CA — Two people have been detained at Topanga Mall after police responded to the shopping center Sunday afternoon for the report of a shooting.

The LAPD said there is no evidence of a shooting at this point. Cops said the investigation is ongoing but preliminary information suggests there was a robbery at the mall. Charges are pending against those who were detained.

There was a large police presence in the area. Police were advising residents to avoid the area.
