CHATSWORTH, CA — A man was injured in a fire that damaged a two-story house in Chatsworth Tuesday.
Firefighters were called to a home on the 19800 block of West Marilla Street shortly after 9 a.m. to find the home engulfed in flames.
"Crews advanced hose lines to the interior, while others ascended ladders to the roof to cut holes for the smoke and hot gasses to escape," said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange. "One resident was home at the time, and sustained minor-to-moderate smoke inhalation while attempting to subdue the flames prior to LAFD arrival," Prange said.
