A man was struck by a Metrolink train Monday between the Chatsworth and Northridge stations.

NORTHRIDGE, CA —Authorities Tuesday identified a 37-year-old man killed by a Metrolink train in the Northridge area this week.

Bernardo Miranda, 37, who was homeless., was struck by Ventura County Line train 100 while in a "non-pedestrian area" between the Chatsworth and Northridge stations, just before 5:30 a.m. Monday, according to Scott Johnson of Metrolink and the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner

"We remind people to stay off of railroad tracks," Johnson said. "Don't use the right-of-way as a shortcut -- for your safety and for everyone's safety."
