Man Seriously Hurt When Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In SFV: Police

The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Panorama City, according to police.

VAN NUYS, CA — Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver responsible for leaving a man seriously injured Tuesday night in Panorama City.

Los Angeles police say the man was walking around 11:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of traffic on Roscoe Boulevard, west of Tobias Avenue, when a driver in a gold or brown van struck him.

The person in the car stopped momentarily before driving away westbound on Roscoe Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and took the man to a local hospital for treatment, police said, adding that he was severely injured. The man was described as being in his 20s.

"Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves," the LAPD said in a statement Wednesday morning.
