Murder Suspect Arrested After Hours-Long Standoff In West Valley

A man wanted for murder remained in a standoff with police Thursday afternoon.

CANOGA PARK, CA — A man wanted for murder was taken into custody after an hours-long standoff in Canoga Park Thursday afternoon.

The standoff began at about 11:20 a.m. on the 8500 block of International Avenue, just north of the intersection of Roscoe and Topanga Canyon boulevards, KTLA reported.

The suspect, a 35-year-old man, was eventually taken into custody around 2:50 p.m., with the assistance of SWAT officials, police said.

Police have not provided additional details about the murder accusation against the man.
