No Burn Order Extended In Chatsworth
Residents in the affected areas are reminded that burning wood in their fireplaces or indoor or outdoor wood-burning device is prohibited.
LOS ANGELES , CA — A ban on indoor and outdoor wood burning across Los Angeles County has been extended through Friday as air pollution remains high across the Southland, according to air quality regulators.
The ban began on Christmas Day for residents across South Coast Air Basin, including Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange counties. It's slated to continue through, at least, 11:59 p.m. Friday, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
Homes that rely on wood as a sole source of heat, low-income households and those without natural gas service are exempt from the requirement.
