Oakland A's Draft Pitcher Tyler Johnson of Chatsworth

America East Pitcher of the Year Tyler Johnson of Chatsworth has been drafted by the Oakland A's.

A graduate of Encino's Crespi Carmelite High School, Johnson is a senior at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. In addition to being a third team All-American, right-hander Johnson is Stony Brook's all-time wins leader, according to the university's sports website.

Johnson was the A's 33rd round pick. He is 11-1 with a 2.13 ERA in 14 starts this year, according to the Oakland A's website, and is the university's record holder with 35 career victories.
