One Dead Following Collision With Metrolink Train
Tracks at Metrolink's Ventura County Station are closed for the investigation so commuters should look for other means of transportation.
NORTHRIDGE, CA — One person is dead after being struck by a Metrolink train near the Northridge Station, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported this morning.
The fatal accident occurred near the 8600 block of North Lindley Avenue, LAFD said on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

Paramedics responded to the location at about 6:54 a.m., according to LAFD Spokesperson Nicholas Prange.

"There was a fatal collision, sadly, between a train and a pedestrian,'' Prange said. "There was no one injured on the train."
Tracks at Metrolink's Ventura County Station are closed indefinitely and commuters should look for other transportation, Metrolink said, adding that Uber vouchers of up to $50 would be available for some riders.
