Plastic Bag Ban on Chatsworth Council Agenda Tonight

Board members will discuss whether to support rules similar to those in the county.

The will discuss this evening whether to support a citywide plastic bag ban similar to that in the county.

The Council meets 7 p.m., at , 10100 Variel Ave., under the leadership of the newly re-elected executive board. André van der Valk continues as president. Judith Daniels is vice president, Carol Lucas is secretary and Vicki Briskman continues as treasurer.

  • A discussion of Council elections and funding of the Neighborhood Congress in September,
  • Purchase of a public address system,
  • Authorization of a Neighborhood Purpose Grant for the Foundation for the Preservation of the Santa Susana Mountains, and
  • The purchase of e-readers for the Rancho San Antonio Boys Home library and an iPad and e-reader for the Chatsworth Public Library.
