Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Critically Injured Valley Pedestrian

The suspect struck two parked cars and two people in Studio City, then fled south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a hit-and-run driver who severely injured a 52-year-old woman in the San Fernando Valley earlier this week.

Officers responded at around 11:15 p.m. Sunday to Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Moorpark Street in Studio City in response to reports of a motorist who hit two parked vehicles and two pedestrians standing nearby, severely injuring one of them, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver failed to stop after the crash and continued traveling south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, police said.

Paramedics took the critically injured pedestrian to a hospital. The other pedestrian was evaluated at the scene and declined further medical assistance.

The suspect was driving a dark-colored SUV, possibly blue, that police say will have visible damage on the front right area following the collision.

The city is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
