Rocket engines are most famously known for their crucial role in space exploration, but the only ride a local F-1 engine was a part Thursday of was a cruise down to Chatsworth on the back of a flatbed truck.
Belonging to Rocketdyne, the machinery was moved from its longtime home in front of the company's Canoga Park office, ABC7 reports.
The move was sparked by the sale of Rocketdyne to GenCorp for $500,000.
