'The Green Zone' Makes a Big Bang in the Firing Range Business
Only environmentally friendly ammunition is used at the Chatsworth facility.
When Steve Tragar "The Green Zone," an environmentally friendly firing range, Patch was there. It was February 2011.
Just bullets made of copper and tin were to be allowed in a lead-free environment. And, the expended bullets and casings were to be scooped up and returned to the manufacturer who, in turn, would recycle the materials and make more “green” bullets.
He called his planned eco-friendly facility a one-of-a-kind operation in the shooting-range business.

We followed as he got his and began converting an industrial building at 9943 Canoga Ave. in Chatsworth. And as he prepared to launch around the Christmas, we toured his facility.
