A trial got underway last week for a Tarzana couple accused of using $200,000 from the Ivy Academia charter schools for their personal use.
Eugene Selivanov, 40, and Tatyana Berkovich, 36, are founders of the Ivy Academia charter schools, which has locations in Chatsworth, Canoga Park and Woodland Hills.
Prosecutors allege the couple used school funds to buy groceries, clothes, gift cards and more.
