Wife And Mother Killed In Chatsworth Murder-Suicide Identified

Authorities identified a Chatsworth woman shot by her husband, who then killed himself, leaving their infant and toddler with their bodies.

CHATSWORTH, CA — Authorities Thursday identified a woman who police say was fatally shot by her husband before he shot and killed himself in their Chatsworth home, where the couple's two young children were found more than three days after their parents' deaths.

Officers responded about 4:30 p.m. Sunday to a call of shots fired in the 9100 block of Foster Lane and found the parents dead in the upstairs bedroom, both due to gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The investigation revealed that 46-year-old David Kooros Parsa shot 38- year-old Mihoko Koike Parsa as she lay in bed before shooting himself, according to the LAPD and the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The children -- a toddler and an infant -- were not physically injured but "were admitted to a local area hospital for observation," according to the LAPD. They were placed in the custody of the county Department of Children and Family Services.

Neighbors said they heard an argument at the home late Wednesday night or early Thursday, then two loud blasts, the Daily News reported.
