Woman, 73, Dies In Granada Hills House Fire

The home's roof partially collapsed in the fire and the home was described as being fully engufled in flames.

GRANADA HILLS, CA — A 73-year-old woman was killed in a fire at a Granada Hills home early Saturday morning, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

According to fire officials, the blaze broke out at a home in the 10400 block of Densmore Avenue at 8 a.m. The home's roof partially collapsed in the fire and the home was described as being fully engufled in flames.

The fire was knocked down at 6:05 a.m., just under an hour after firefighters were called to the scene.

Officials said firefighters' efforts to extinguish the fire were slowed down by "excessive storage conditions outside and inside the home."

After searching the home once the blaze was extinguished, firefighters found the 73-year-old dead inside.
