2016 Novato Homicide Suspect Arrested: Cops
Javier Guevara, 24, is the seventh suspect arrested in connection with a 2016 Novato homicide, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said.
NOVATO, CA — A seventh suspect has been arrested in connection with a 2016 Novato homicide, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Saturday.
Javier Guevara, a 24-year-old man with ties to the North Bay city, was arrested on suspicion of murder, among other charges, the Sheriff’s Office said.
He was booked into Marin County Jail, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Guevara, a fugitive, surrendered to authorities at San Francisco International Airport on Friday, The Marin Independent Journal reports.
Guevara’s arrest comes amid what the Sheriff’s Office described as “one of the most extensive investigations in department history.”

Juan Carlos Martinez Henriquez, 22, was convicted in May of murder, among other charges, in connection with the May 25, 2016 killing of 17-year-old Edwin Guerra, The IJ reports.
An additional suspect, Marlon Alexander Ortiz Majano, remains at large, according to the report.
Deputies arrested Guevara with the assistance of the Marin County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service, the Sheriff’s Office said.
