Alleged DUI Driver Hits Parked Cars In Novato

Police allege a drunk driver was behind the wheel of a minivan Sunday morning when it crashed into several parked cars.

NOVATO, CA — A Novato man is accused of driving under the influence after hitting several parked cars with a minivan early Sunday morning.

According to police, officers and medics responded to a crash scene around 2:40 a.m. on Redwood Boulevard. Investigators determined the driver of a Honda minivan was traveling north when he hit four cars parked on Redwood Boulevard, with enough force to dislodge the van's rear passenger door.

After a precautionary medical evaluation, police booked the 28-year-old suspect into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
