NOVATO, CA — Andrew Henderson made the most of his first career start.

The San Marin High senior tossed a four-hitter to lead the Mustangs in a 10-0 Marin County Athletic League win against San Rafael on Friday.

Henderson (4-0) struck out five and walked one in his first career shutout as the Mustangs (8-2-1, 4-2 MCAL) won their fifth straight.

Henderson, who debuted as a sophomore, improved to 8-1 in 16 career appearances.

Josh Martin and sophomore Anthony Scheppler each had two hits for San Marin, which set the tone early with a four-run rally in the bottom of the first inning.

The Mustangs broke open a 5-0 lead in the sixth with a five-run outburst.

San Marin is scheduled to play host to Tamalpais (7-5, 3-3) in an MCAL game scheduled for Tuesday (March 29) at 4:30 p.m.
