County's Health, Human Services to Host Networking Event for Business, Education Leaders

The event is set for Oct. 24.

On October 24, business and education leaders will have the opportunity to network with one another on an issue vital to ensuring the health of the North Bay economy: industry-education partnerships. The partnerships, established for the most critical industry sectors:manufacturing and healthcare, pair business with education to ensure a consistent pipeline of skilled workers to jobs.

“Business leaders will hear from manufacturing and healthcare partnerships that exist within the Bay Area and other states. These partnerships have strengthened supply chains, promoted best practices, and developed key strategies with public and community based education resources to strengthen their organization’s current and future workforce” said Caran Cuneo, Business Engagement Coordinator. “There are exciting and productive outcomes from these efforts.”

For companies, industry partnerships provide an opportunity to solve talent issues, improved recruitment and retention, increased productivity and positive business-to-business networking. For educators and workforce organizations, the partnerships allow for understanding of changing industry needs and the refinement of credentials and curriculum necessary to build successful career pathways.

The summit will formally kick off the launch of industry partnerships for Manufacturing and Healthcare, so do not miss your opportunity to have your business’ or educational institution’s voice at the table. The event is from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Napa Valley Marriott and features keynote speaker Sen. Mike McGuire. For more information and to purchase tickets for $35, RSVP via Eventbrite.
