Derek Bartram's 1st Career Shutout Helps Novato Blank Archie Williams

NOVATO, CA — Derek Bartram tossed a four-hitter and Novato High blanked Archie Williams 8-0 Tuesday in a pivotal Marin County Athletic League game.

Novato (13-8, 8-5 MCAL) moved into sole possession of fourth place with the victory.

The two teams were schedule to meet again Thursday afternoon with Archie Williams (10-11, 7-6) looking to move back into a two-way tie for fourth.

Bartram (5-4) struck out three and walked one in his first career shutout.

Andy Gates and Hannes Gerber each had three hits and Bartram and Nathan Dito each had two hits including a double to lead the Hornets offensively.
