Around 5 a.m. this morning, Saturday, Aug. 20, there were multiple reports of 15-20 shots fired near Vintage Oaks.
At least one caller reported that it sounded like moving gunfire.
According to Sgt. Sasha D'Amico, the CHP stopped a car that near Reichert Avenue that reported having lots of trouble with backfiring. The driver said the car had backfired over a dozen times along the freeway, likely causing the gunfire concerns.
