Funds Needed For Marin County Breast Cancer Patient

Loved ones of Rebecca Hyde are asking the public to help her financially.

NOVATO, CA -- Loved ones of a Marin County resident are asking the public to help in a fight against breast cancer. Rebecca Hyde is battling the cancerous disease after being diagnosed in August 2017, according to a GoFundMe page created for her.

Carrie Weddle, who created the fundraising page, said Hyde, a mother of three, has had rough days as she undergoes treatment for the cancer.

"She underwent major surgery (mastectomy) on October 12th that left her with very limited use of her right arm & hand," the GoFundMe page said. "She began chemotherapy on December 11th and has just completed session #2 (14 to go) of the 3rd Chemo drug. This drug makes it so she can't sleep for days and every muscle/bone in her body hurts."

Weddle goes on to say that Hyde is expected to complete her chemotherapy treatments in May, but is also taking health failure medication after experiencing mild cardiac damage.

"I am starting this Go Fund Me campaign for Rebecca's family to help lighten some financial stress they have recently endured," Weddle wrote. "She is out of work and her husband is caring for her full time."
