MARIN COUNTY, CA — Annual funding from the County of Marin's Community Grants and Investment Program will be allocated to Marin County nonprofit and community-based organizations starting in December.

The Marin County Board of Supervisors approved $1.65 million for the program during its Nov. 4 meeting. The 94 award winners are scheduled to sign contracts soon to accept the funds.

The total allocation was higher than last year, including a one-time $500,000 grant from the Board of Supervisors to help nonprofits and community groups cope with federal policy changes. Distributions range from $1,500 to $50,000 and are dedicated to one-time 2026 projects addressing community needs and Board priorities: affordable housing, equity, disaster preparedness, climate resilience, community vitality, and infrastructure.
