Marin County Man's Facebook Post About Drugs Leads To Arrest
Apparently, the man did not check his privacy settings because authorities found his drug-related post.

NOVATO, CA -- A Novato man on probation apparently failed to check his Facebook privacy settings. The man was arrested for alleged drug sales after Marin County authorities found a post he made on the social media website.
The 24-year-old man, whose name was not released, is on probation for drug trafficking charges, but recently bragged about continued drug activity on Facebook, according to the Marin County Probation Department.
Probation Officer Trevor Lilian, who knew the man was scheduled to visit the Marin County Civic Center for a regularly scheduled probation check two days later,saw the Facebook post. When the man arrived for his probation check, he was detained.

Officers found five pounds of marijuana, approximately a half-ounce of Ecstasy, a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, a digital scale, small plastic baggies, three cell phones and nearly $2,000 in currency in his car. The estimated street value of the narcotics was more than $15,000, the department said.
The man was booked into county jail where he faces felony charges of drug sales in addition to probation violations. His bail was set at $100,000.
