Novato City Birthday Party: In-Person Event Returns On Jan. 22
Celebrate Novato's 62nd birthday by enjoying champagne and food from local restaurants at the Bill & Adele Jonas Center. Tickets are $75.
NOVATO, CA — Though Novato had to celebrate its City Birthday Party virtually this year, the annual event will be in-person once again in January 2022 — and at a new location, to boot.
Novato's 62nd Birthday Party, hosted by Paint the Town Red, will take place on Jan. 22 at the Bill & Adele Jonas Center at College of Marin's Indian Valley Campus, which opened this past September.
Guests will receive complimentary champagne upon arriving, and an "elegant, seated, family-style meal" featuring food from local restaurants, wineries and breweries will be served, officials said.

At the event, the 2021 Citizen of the Year will be announced, as will the employees of the year from the Novato Police Department and Novato Fire Protection District. The Novato Chamber will reveal its selections for "Businesses of the Year."
The Jonas Center will seat 215 guests for the party, and they can join in the cutting of the city's birthday cake and dance to music provided by a DJ, officials said.

Tickets for the annual event cost $75 (after Dec. 31, the price increases to $100) and they can be purchased here. All attendees — guests, honorees, volunteers, vendors and food servers — must show proof of vaccination, officials said.
Though pandemic restrictions prevented an in-person event in January 2021, the Paint the Town Red committee aired a prerecorded show on Novato Community Television and on YouTube.
