Novato Firefighters Battle Overnight Blaze

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the blaze.

NOVATO, CA — An overnight brush fire at a Novato encampment led to the closure of a Hamilton Parkway, police said.

The blaze at 1200 Hamilton parkway occurred in the area of an encampment in the marsh area behind the skatepark, Novato police Sgt. Trevor Hall told Patch.

The fire was reported at around 10:05 p.m. and burned an area of approximately 1,000 square feet, Hall said. The blaze was fully contained around midnight.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the blaze.
