Milberg has served on the Novato Citizens Finance Advisory/Oversight Committee since 2018. He served as the committee’s vice chair before being appointed to the council.
He’ll balance his new role with the demands of his day job as a biotech executive. He currently serves as Ultragenyx’s senior director of clinical outsourcing.
Milberg holds a bachelor’s degree in human development from UC Davis, a master’s degree in social welfare from UC Berkeley and an MBA from San Francisco State University.
“Mark Milberg recognizes the importance of building relationships and making sure that people are heard and respected,” Novato Mayor Pat Eklund said.
“Mark’s experience on the Novato Citizens Finance Committee and knowledge in city finance is critical. I look forward to the Council working together over this next year with a new councilmember.”
