Novato Teen Suspected of Shooting Occupied Vehicle Surrenders

A 17-year-old male turned himself in. Four males were in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, no one was injured.

A 17-year-old Novato boy suspected of shooting into an occupied vehicle in Novato Sunday turned himself in Tuesday, a police sergeant said.

The teen is suspected of shooting into a vehicle occupied by four males between 18 and 20 years old around 2 a.m. Sunday in the area of Redwood Boulevard and Oak Crest Drive, Sgt. Michael Howard said. No one was injured, police said.

The victims reported the shooting and police identified the juvenile as the suspect. The teen surrendered at the Marin County Jail around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday and was booked in Marin County juvenile hall.
