The project is part of a broader push to make Novato a certified community wildlife habitat, and locals are also invited to a free Novato Garden Club program on practical gardening tips this Wednesday.
• Prep football: San Marin quarterback selected as IJ's Player of the Year (marinij.com) — High school football standouts from Novato and across Marin earned major league honors this season, led by San Marin quarterback Daniel Rolovich being named Player of the Year. Novato’s Gio Castaing was a rare two-way first-teamer, and Novato-raised quarterbacks Gabe Casanovas and Michael Sargent also shined for their respective programs, underscoring the city’s growing reputation for producing top signal callers.
