San Marin To Face Campolindo In NCS Div. 3 Playoff Opener

No. 4 seeded San Marin is led by juniors Keeley Wright and Lailah Carey.

NOVATO, CA — San Marin High’s girls’ basketball team will open its postseason against an East Bay opponent.

The Mustangs (21-5) will play host to Campolindo of Moraga in a North Coast Section Division 3 playoff opener Tuesday at 7 p.m.

No. 4 seeded San Marin is led by juniors Keeley Wright and Lailah Carey.

Wright, a 5-foot-5 guard, is averaging 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Carey, a 5’-6” guard/forward, is averaging 9.6 points and 2.9 steals.

Campolindo (6-17) is seeded 13th in the 16-team division.

Marin Catholic (21-5) — San Marin’s nemesis — is the division’s top seed. The Wildcats have won all three meetings this season with their Marin County Athletic League rivals, including a 50-20 win against San Marin in Friday’s MCAL playoff finals.
