Wrong-Way Driver Killed In Crash On Hwy 37 In Novato
The wrong-way driver was reported on eastbound SR-37 near the Petaluma River bridge, CHP said.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — A woman allegedly driving a vehicle the wrong way Tuesday night on eastbound state Highway 37 in Marin County was killed, and a motorist struck in the head-on collision suffered minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wrong-way driver was reported on State Route 37 in Novato near the Petaluma River bridge, CHP Officer Damian Cistaro said.
The collision occurred on the transition to U.S. Highway 101 around 9:26 p.m., with a CHP patrol vehicle arriving soon after at the scene.

The transition stretch, closed for several hours as the CHP investigated the collision, reopened at 12:37 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.
The motorist struck by the alleged wrong-way driver was not identified and was transported to a hospital, authorities said.
