5 Things to Know in Oceanside This Week

It's Monday, that means we're back to the grind, but this week is a sunny in Oceanside and on Camp Pendleton. 

1. Weather.com shows the week to be mostly sunny in Oceanside with temperatures in the 70s.
2. San Diego State University will hold an open house for the College of Extended Studies' Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning and Professional Certificate in the Business of Wine programs Thursday, according to a release, which has additional details. 
3. Brooks Theatre will hold auditions for a North County talent show 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 217 N. Coast Highway. More information on the auditions and August show is available at https://oceansidetheatre.org. 
4. The Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation will hold its 3rd Annual "Write On, Oceanside!" book fair celebrating local authors, according to MainStreet OCeanside. The free event will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza and Community Rooms. 
5. Children can take part in a free Pirate Storytime and Treasure Hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Civic Center Library.
