San Diego Zoo Lights Up Holiday Nights During Jungle Bells Event

SAN DIEGO, CA — Jungle Bells returns this weekend to the San Diego Zoo.

The family-friendly holiday event runs on select nights from Dec. 19 through Jan. 4. The event features festive entertainment, shimmering lights, and seasonal food and drinks.

This year's merry experiences include:

• Holiday Light Discovery: Enjoy holiday lighting experiences from Lost Forest to Tiger Trail. Explore the Painted Jungle, Rainbow Forest and Laser Trail, where sparkling paths of lights, special effects and surprises await.
• Holiday Light Celebration: Wander an interactive path adorned with treats, presents and shimmering lights from Front Street to Outback.
• Holiday Light Symphony: Visit this interactive area between Upper Africa Rocks and Cactus Garden to direct colorful lights and a holiday orchestra of music.
• Live Music: Merry music will fill the air from Jingle Brass, the Holiday Troubadour and the Holiday Harmonies.
• Reindeer Games: Take part in interactive holiday games and dances on Front Street Stage.
• Jack Frost Juggler: Jack Frost Juggler will show off juggling skills at Wildlife Explorers Basecamp.
• Dr. Harry & His Holiday Friends: Meet Santa's favorite helpers near Koalafornia Boardwalk. Dr. Harry Lion, Churchill Polar Bear, Sydney Koala and all their friends will be dressed in their holiday finest as they pose for photos and spread festive cheer.
• Toy Shop Hop: Santa's acrobatic elves will show off their bouncing, high-flying holiday magic at Sydney's Grill.
• Santa's Factory: Stop by Santa's Factory on select dates during Jungle Bells.
• Dr. Zoolittle's One Wild Night Before Christmas: Dr. Zoolittle gets into the holiday spirit with a zany, interactive version of the Christmas tale.
• Festive Food and Drinks: Enjoy specialty food and drink options, including chocolate peppermint churros, peppermint hot chocolate, winter egg drop soup, mistletoe martinis and more.

Jungle Bells lights up the night until 8 p.m. from Dec. 19 through Jan. 4, excluding Dec. 24, at the San Diego Zoo at 2920 Zoo Drive in San Diego.
