6 Injured in Fallbrook Incidents

Six people were injured and hospitalized, and at least one was stabbed, in two separate incidents minutes apart early today in Rainbow and at a taco shop in Fallbrook, which borders Camp Pendleton. 

The first incident happened about 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Rice Canyon Road in Rainbow, San Diego Sheriff's Lt. Kelly Martinez said.

"Police responded to a call of about 20 subjects fighting near a car that had been in a collision," Martinez said.

When deputies arrived, one person was found stabbed and was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido for treatment, Martinez said.

At 2:05 a.m. at Robertito's Taco Shop at 1382 S. Mission Road in Fallbrook, Martinez said at least five people were found injured and taken for treatment to Fallbrook Hospital, and then Palomar Medical Center.

"Both incidents were quite a distance from each other, so it's uncertain whether they were related," Martinez said.

An investigation into both incidents was continuing.
