UPDATE: Missing Man Found, Returned Home

Volunteers with the San Diego Sheriff's Department were searching the areas near the Buena Vista lagoon for a 78-year-old who has dementia and is easily confused.

Clayton has been found and returned safely to his home, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Volunteers with the San Diego Sheriff's Department were searching the areas near the Buena Vista lagoon for a 78-year-old who has dementia and is easily confused.

Billy James Clayton was last seen Thursday morning at 1612 Watson Way in Vista, according to a missing person sign volunteers were handing out. He was last seen wearing a blue puffy jacket with a hood, blue jeans, white socks and brown sandals.

Authorities believe he is on foot.
