Carjacking Suspect Caught Near Oceanside

A 2006 Cadillac was stolen early Thursday morning in San Diego.

A woman who allegedly stole a 92-year-old man's car and billfold at a Golden Hill intersection this morning was arrested later in the day in the North County, authorities reported.

The victim was stopped for a traffic signal in the 4700 block of Imperial Avenue about 6 a.m. when Meshee Nickerson, 49, opened a passenger door on his tan 2006 Cadillac and got in, according to San Diego police.

Nickerson, who was holding something in one of her hands, allegedly ordered the motorist to get out of the vehicle and demanded his wallet before driving off, SDPD Sgt. Ray Battrick said. The victim then walked to a business on F Street and reported the crime.
