Crews Halt Riverview Fire In San Diego's North County
An evacuation order was issued but later lifted for residents in the area, officials said.

FALLBROOK, CA — Crews halted a brush fire that sparked early Tuesday morning in San Diego's North County.
The blaze, dubbed the Riverview Fire, broke out near east Mission Road and Riverview Drive in the community of Fallbrook, according to Cal Fire.
The fire scorched about an acre and threatened structures before crews stopped the forward rate of spread.

"Firefighters are making good progress on the fire," Cal Fire said. "The forward rate of spread has been stopped. Fire crews will remain on scene to continue to build containment lines and extinguish hot spots."
An evacuation order was issued but later lifted for residents in the area, according to North County Fire Protection District.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
The fire was one of three blazes that sparked amid red flag weather conditions early Tuesday morning in North County.
The Lilac Fire blackened 80 acres in the Bonsall area and the Pala Fire scorched about 17 acres in Pala, according to Cal Fire. Evacuation orders and warnings were in effect for the Lilac Fire, while an evacuation order was lifted for the Pala Fire.
A red flag warning was in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday for the county's inland valleys and mountains, according to the National Weather Service. A high wind warning was in effect until 4 p.m. Tuesday for the mountains and valleys. A fire weather watch was also issued for 6 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday for the mountains and valleys.
